If you buy only one book buy this one. it covers the marque end to end and with facinating detail. Corporate history, personalities, competition, model evolution, advertising, marketing and technical it's all there. Vespa scooters define Italy. While the rest of the west may have found motorcycles more appealing to some extent, scooters capture the heart and sould of Italy. This book celebrates the Vespa and that soul. Vespas outside of Italy are cultish. Ride one and you'll understand why. They made sense in post WWII 1946 and with modern technology make sense today. The book is about the joy of Vespa. No other scooter on the planet has this kind of panache and image recognition. If for no other reason read it to learn how to advertise and market successfully, year after year.
